A Must Read!

This is the second book featuring Marcus & Sandra Vega. I feel a connection with the characters - you can't help but root for them which always makes for a great read. Just like the first book, this one draws you in & captures your attention until the last word, leaving you wanting more. Read The Lost Girls of Rome & follow it up with this one - you won't be sorry, it's a fantastic read!

I finished this book with a few questions left unanswered......to me, this is not a bad thing. Some people might be disappointed by the ending, I am more intrigued about could possibly come next and will hopefully find out in another book.

While it took a while for the story to develop and the threads to begin to weave together into a coherent picture, when it did it was worth it.

Такое редко случается, но вторая книга цикла мне понравилась больше. Сюжет был линейным и не путал совсем, бОльший упор сделали на психологию убийц и ты (к сожалению?) начинаешь понимать, что стоит за всей жестокостью, ну и в конце разгадка вызвала у меня эмоциональное «да ладно!?».
Без ложки дегтя не обошлось лично для меня. В первой книге слишком заинтриговали историей главного героя, а во второй практически ничего не прояснили для раскрутки его линии. И очень не хочется, чтобы это было манипуляцией со стороны автора, чтобы возвращать читателей к серии в будущем.
Хотя я и вернусь к ней явно не только ради разгадки (ведь все еще отличные детективы на вечер), но пожалуй чуть попозже, уж слишком много кровушки и убийств.

Assolutamente consigliato!
Ho letto questo libro pensando che fosse un libro a sé stante, per scoprire solamente dopo che è il sequel di un altro libro. Ops.
Ma nonostante ciò, posso confermare che si riesce a leggere anche come libro autonomo.
Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che amano i libri psicologici e thriller.
