A collection of very funny anecdotes of a doctor on call over Christmas a number of years running - the absurdity and stupidity of humankind around the Christmas season laid bare.

Mostly hilarious, but at times deeply poignant, this is a fantastic follow up to Adam Kay's first book, This Is Going To Hurt. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiance (who happens to be a trainee doctor), and she devoured it in no time. I took advantage to have a read of it myself as well. Reading it does make you scared for the future of the health service, but at the same time amazed at the dedication of a lot of the staff there.
