Superb book for 5th and 6th graders, more specifically reluctant readers. Told from multiple perspectives with lots of inner monologue. Short chapters make the book fly by.

Sweet, sweet story told by seven students in Mr. Terupt's 5th grade class. Each one shares the events of the school year and comes to know more about the students in their classroom. A great book for teaching point of view, characterization, theme, and author's style.

Really beautiful book. I read it in a couple hours while proctoring testing and there where times I thought I was going to have to explain to me testing group why I was crying. Highly recommend for a easy read that hits on a lot of emotions and is guaranteed to leave an impression.

I don't know how someone could NOT love this book: the characters, plot, and writing style were all great. It pretty much made me cry, and I'm sure it would make you cry as well. Would definitely read again.

super sweet book. if you’ve ever had a teacher (or teachers!) that have really helped you grow or just impacted your life then this book will definitely resonate.

So glad I finally read this amazing story. Love how it's written in first person and six students are the narrators. Love Mr. Terupt.

I really enjoyed this book...read it with hopes that it would be good for using in a lunch time book club with 5th graders and YES IT WOULD!! Great story with excellent counseling related topics within. I highly recommend this book for all 5th grade students.

Full of insulting stereotypes and outdated language. And, for a book about an inspirational teacher, we see almost nothing of what makes him inspiring. Ugh.
