I would’ve rated this slightly higher but after that cassandra clare inspired plot twist, this book lost me. I sobbed for kimmy, but xander needed to GROVEL more. I’m only continuing this series for ronan x teal and silver x cole
PLEASE CHECK TW BEFORE READING❗️

Holy crap. THIS BOOK.

It has been a long, LONG, looooong time since I legit sobbed my heart out reading a book.

I took a week break after rereading Aiden and Elsa's story because it was THAT emotional for me.

But y'all. Xander and Kimberly's story battered my heart into a million pieces.

Holy shit.

I felt for Kim. I felt her depression, her loneliness, her desire to end her life. I felt her fears and her fog. I felt that spark of love from her brother and that spark of hope with Xander.

Xander saw it all and TRIED to help but he was held back by a "somewhat" truth that turned him from a knight into a nightmare when it came to his Green. His emotions warred with his heart and mind. I didn't know what to think...until that BIG TWIST. Man, I didn't know what to think, but within a chapter that was resolved (THANK YOU JEEBUS) and Xander and Kim got their chance. Only Xan's vice kept getting in the way so he had to go away for a bit to fix himself.

Y'all. The feels in this book were raw, brutal, and poignant. I cried. Legit SOBBED my eyes out during half this book. I was so proud of two fictional characters at the end. They overcame so many REAL mental issues.

And that ending? TWO perfect epilogues that literally made my heart melt. This book was just...phenomenal.

Emotional, angsty, unforgettable.

I was so curious about Xander and Kimberly’s dynamics whilst reading Aiden and Elsa’s story. I wasn’t sure how their story would play out, the push and pull tension was there even from the outside and Rina Kent DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!

I loved the sweet build up and oh how my heart crashed when the first wave hit.

Don’t we all just want to be seen? Even when we hide our true selves?

broke my heart

I loved this story, broke my heart a bit. There were a lot of feelings in this one. I couldn’t get enough of Xan and Kimberly’s story. I hurt right along side and felt all the feelings.
