The mfc didn’t have any spine or push back to her stalker. It was like she just immediately accepted him.

Is there such a thing as negative character development? Cuz if so, it applies here. I struggled to finish knowing this girl insta-forgives him more than once becuz
he kidnaps and confines her to a basement for 6 days
. Also, why does her dad not tell her? He wants to protect her, it shows he's a loving parent, but he's willing to stand by knowing what he does? Tf? The author puts a note saying it's up to readers to decide whether the MMC is redeemable, but he never actually does anything to get redeemed.

Quick. Super Spicy. Lots of explicit scenes.
Overall I enjoyed the story and the characters. Everyone felt definitely morally gray. I loved how detailed the spicy scenes were. Towards the end it was hard to read due to content.
Definitely check out the trigger warnings because there's a lot of them.
The twists were not very obvious and were done well. The FMC wasn’t very strong but as a reader I could feel her falling for Xavier and really follow her emotions.
Definitely a great dark romance!
I’m excited to check out the next two books!
