Super quick and fun read, some challenging topics so check TW’s but overall a cute and spicy hockey romance. Psycho ex boyfriend who won’t leave her alone is the mostly dark part, plus a family member passing away. Other than that it’s light-hearted.

This book had so much potential but just left me feeling disappointed.
The characters were shallow & annoying. The plot felt so rushed.
Dani (our fmc) spent most of the start of the book saying she wasn’t ready for a new relationship and wasn’t in to just hooking up but by chapter 7 they’re having some hanky panky in the weight room and by chapter 12 she’s agreeing to a date with Miller. This may be due to Miller’s (our mmc) borderline creepy persistence
The second half of the book was all over the place. 3 traumatic events (all within a few chapters of each other) that get wrapped up nice and neat after a few pages. Not to mention the fact that Mia’s death literally did nothing to progress the story line. I can see how the sa and arson lead to her moving in with Miller but Mia’s death didn’t do anything for the story. It honestly felt like it was thrown in for a shock factor and extra drama (which also didn’t work too well seeing as how we had only seen Mia once before long enough to take up one page)

I just wish I had DNFed
