The plot was way more endearing than I thought it would be! Second act was kind of slow and full of character conflicts that felt repetitive, but the first and third acts were more interesting. The spicy scenes were *mwah* and the characters were likeable.

i devoured this book! gorgeous lighthearted, witty and fun romance
character dynamics were wonderful and the relationship was believable
great use of single dad, forced proximity and second chance romance (kinda?) tropes

This book had a cute premise, and I thought it had a good sense of tension when Cassie had to
hide her birthmark from Aiden.
But I did think she should have figured it out a little sooner, since the
gift he sent her would have been postmarked from nearby (plus he probably would have faintly recalled her mailing address?)
and his username was pretty obviously of a chef. But it had a cute little happy ending, and I thought that character of the daughter was written really well. But whew, this was long. I feel like the book might have been able to lose about a third of the length and been still fully formed. I didn't always need every thought that passed through Cassie's head. Oh ALSO. You're trying to make me believe that a fine dining chef can't cook waffles? That is just too much for me.

Now THAT’S what I’d call a better written, horny book!! (I read this right after Icebreaker which LET ME TELL YOU, was a trial)

Definitely don’t understand what Cassie’s actual job was, since she didn’t really seem to do much, but it was a cute enough story. I don’t get why they had to be fucking all the time though. Can you guys talk first??? About anything????

The phrase “they took a deep breath only to release it quickly through their mouth” was used no fewer than 10 times

SIDENOTE: I know I had a fucked up childhood, but are kids still like that when they’re 9? Like playgrounds and stuff?
If so, it’s so happy for me to read about a kid who gets to do that?!?!?
