This is a fun little romance! Some heavy issues are tackled, but I thought it was well done.

I wanted to like this so bad. The cover is so cute and the synopsis was promising. But the rest fell flat. I didn’t like Chani. She didn’t grow at all the entire time. It was always “I’m so NORMAL and BORING and UGLY”. And that didn’t change the entire time. I also don’t buy the love story between her and Gave. She was in love with the fantasy of him, in my opinion. Even after their few encounters. I just don’t buy it. I liked the news articles in between chapters. I love when books insert different formats like that into a book. This just didn’t hit like I wanted to.
