I love how the characters were developed and so real!

2.5 stars. The writing was nice but the characters and the plot fell totally flat for me. I felt no connection to them, their actions were incredibly stupid, the family is vapid and unlikeable in a way that I didn't find particularly entertaining and the ending wasjust completely meh.

10/10 (E. Lockhart)- Wow. This book was so devastatingly beautiful but also heartbreaking. The way Candance works in bits and pieces to recover the trauma over Summer 15 was very well put together and I had barely any idea of the ending. E. Lockhart had a remarkable way of describing situations violently yet so beautifully that I fell in love with the unique style she used to right this book. I am recked over the ending and cannot believe Candance killed the Liars and I’m still heartbroken over what happened to her relationship with Gat. The presence of greed and grief in this novel is very strong and are what string the story together. This was so powerful and wish every person could read this book.

I like this YA novel but didn't love it. I was not without empathy for the main character, but the story was a bit of a letdown, and I found myself growing irritated at times...enough already. The performer who read the book did a good job, and over all, I liked it.

I guessed the twist in the first chapter and absolutely hated the end. I just do not get the total mob-love for this one. To each his own, I guess.

I was going to give a higher rating until there were dead dogs. And it wasn’t just that they were dead. Their death was described so vividly I almost went into hysterics. The ending is also just so devastating. That’s not to say don’t ever read this book or its not a good book at all. It just didn’t “tickle my fancy.”
