A bit sporadic and shallow -- the plot jumps around so much that it's hard to get really invested at any specific moment. The historical elements were interesting, the humor was unexpected, but overall it was ok. I didn't feel like it was particularly "anti-war" as some claim.

Wacky & Sad This seemed like one of those "stream of consciousness" type books that I don't care for that much. It got an extra star because the narrator for the Audible version was a great match: James Franco. For some reason I got it in my head that this book was dystopian, so I spent much of it confused. Maybe I should read-up more on the book, but I was surprised that it's classified as sci-fi and not psychology. I'm assuming it's called an anti-war book because of the psychological damage war does to people? Oh well, check one more 'classic' off the list.

Slaughterhouse five is next to impossible to review because of the complexity of the book. So let’s start off with what the book is about, layer by layer: war, PTSD, time-travel, Dresden, WW2, and aliens

Not my type of book. Just didn’t vibe with it. Understand it is technically an amazing book.
