I enjoyed this, although not as much as some of her other books. But... isn't a "land turtle" a tortoise?

I think umm…turtle?

No but seriously, why was there so many facts about turtles in this book? I didn’t need to know all of this. The plot was okay, but the characters were annoying. I’m stuck between 2.5 stars or 3 stars so I might change the rating later. This won’t stop me from reading any other Freida McFadden book I see in the future, lots of people seem to love her books. This one just wasn’t for me, and after reading a few of the reviews, I see people saying it’s not some of her best.

"The Coworker" is yet another knockout thriller from the talented Freida McFadden, proving once again why she’s a staple on my list of favorite authors. Right from the start, I found myself confidently predicting the story's direction, only to be taken aback time and again as the plot twisted in unexpected—yet totally expected—ways, as McFadden’s works always do. She skillfully peels back the layers of the narrative like an onion, revealing deeper secrets and complexities with each turn of the page. The surprises kept coming, and I gasped out loud more than once, a testament to her ability to craft suspense and deliver the kind of shocking reveals that keep readers on the edge of their seats. This novel exemplifies why McFadden remains a master of her craft.

I guessed every single twist that happened but still a quick fun read. I think I know her formula too well.
