I take back everything i said about Villains — this second book was so required! So much story to tell, so many relationships (between and within) to work through, and so much intensity that couldn’t fit within one.

I loved Demise and all its horrors from start to finish.

The ending maybe concluded a bit quickly but that’s a selfish comment from someone who didn’t want the story to end!

Though this monster story had never been destined for a happily ever after, he had achieved something close to it.
“… and no tail was ever heard of him again.”
A perfect ending for Alistair Lowe. 🫶

received this book as an audio version from NetGalley as an arc. Buckle up! Wow! This stunning duology really ended with a bang. I was not expecting this. The audio is phenomenal first of all. My favorite character from book one was Alistair, and the way that these characters developed in book two took my breath away. I am still shocked.

It was definitely lengthy, but I enjoyed every second of it. I wish the end had more elaboration for the conclusion so that we had more details as to where things landed for the world. I don't want to give spoilers though. The trials were amazing, and the way things played out with the tournament and all of the relics was so unexpected. I loved it! Highly recommend this Duology!
