This is such a great series. Granted this book took me a little bit longer to read the others since it didn't hold my interest as much as they did, it was still very good.  I absolutely love Samuel's story in this book.
My heart broke for him when it was discovered he tried to commit suicide.  He felt such pain.

I saw another reviewer complaining about how these books are all the same, and I had to laugh. Yes, in every book she has to track down which mystical creature is secretly causing problems in her life this time, and fight and outsmart them, while dealing with her emotional trauma and personal life complications. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE ALL READING THESE BOOKS FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE. :-D

And not only do I enjoy the formula, but the fact that the character makes some (however slow) progress in figuring out her personal life and overcoming her fears and flaws in every book, really keeps it from feeling like the same thing over and over to me. I especially love the progression of her relationship with Adam, and she is slowly figuring out that having a very protective strong male who really cares about her around is a good thing, even for a strong woman.
