This book is beyond wonderful, it’s hard to find historical books that have accurate information regarding a painful time period of history. I love love love historical books, I think the world needs to know about all the hardships that happened throughout history, in a factual manner. This book isn’t just a book, it’s a story that comes to life and you feel like you are one with this story and the characters throughout them. Even if you are not into Historical books I highly suggest you read this book, It’s a true eye opener.

This was a great read. The story is heartbreaking as most dealing with the topic of the Holocaust are, but it was worth the emotional rollercoaster.

Wow.

How to pull out proper words to talk about this? If I wasn’t listening to this in public I’d be a sobbing mess. I literally had to hold back my tears, and it’s been a while since a book has made me feel so much.

It’s beautiful, sad, infuriating, hopeful, and also just such a meaningful story especially because it drives home the point that for descendants of the survivors of the war, recognizing the sacrifice of their ancestors by living their best life is incredibly important. This one hits differently from any WW2 book I’ve read. I’ll sort my thoughts out for a bit before writing a proper review because my mind and heart right now are a mess!

In the beginning I  found myself  really enjoying this.  However, I was not enjoying it as the story progressed.   I think the love story was way overdone.  I am also not a fan usually of books that have two story lines going on that constantly alternates such as this one does.
