This has what I'm always looking for in stories about Kentucky, especially Eastern Kentucky, and that's a truthfulness and honesty in the people, the places, the culture, the landscape. Chris knows his mountains, and anyone who enjoys strong writing with a strong understanding of the culture contained therein would do good to pick this collection up.
