Characteristically hilarious. One of my favorites of Sedaris’s collections, because there is so much heart and emotionality in some of these stories. Sedaris’s use of pathos is so successful, as it adds another dimension to his comedy. He balances the universality of his experiences with his distinctly unique point of view.
Sharp, witty, and at times irreverent. Although there are some offensive sections, he edits himself a little better than in past works. Overall, very funny.
I liked this book a lot. I’d like to read it again.
