Was really excited for this read as the premise is quite unique. However, I found myself so frustrated and annoyed with the main characters most of the time, and the plot wasn't as shrouded in mystery as I would've liked. The theme/topic has wonderful potential, but I just couldn't connect with any of the characters enough to care, as harsh as that sounds.

I am surprised at the high rating of this book. I acknowledge that the world-setting is interesting (if not fully fleshed-out or logical) and the premise of 5 minds in 1 body was also interesting. Given this, the 5 don't have distinct voices (we are told they are different but they sound the same). The plot was thin as all heck, with a roster of 8 characters total. It took about 20% of the book for me to figure out who and why, the how was later since I needed more exposure to the rules of the world - about 50%. Boring and ill-written despite a promising premise.

Premise is okay but got boring quickly. Characters were very one dimensional and really realised on tired stereotypes.
Alex is a dick but the whole fat phobia and so on is just gross and a poor excuse for a plot.
