The story was a little too much for me (too much DANG!) But the illustrations were brilliant. Paint on jeans - genius. That's what bumps it up to 3 stars for me.

A story of legend with a tread of truth. Very informative, funny, and fun. As a big Levi's jeans guy, I found this book to be a joy.

This one definitely stretches the truth (read the author's note in the back), but it was entertaining and would make a good group read aloud.
