This book is an incredibly intense memoir of a man wrongfully sentenced to life in prison as a juvenile, only 13 years old when, after shooting a woman in an attempted robbery, he was subjected to an incredibly racist and violent incarceration system. The last paragraph of the book is his statement during his fourth and final resentencing hearing, and is an incredibly eloquent statement of pain and demanding justice.
