a rather uneven essay collection. i felt like most of them strayed too far away from the theme or touched upon it only briefly. meh.

let's say that it was so heavy read but the close the heart, I liked that the book have various stories the each person get to say and speak about how their relation/ bond with their mothers and how it affected them or how it really view of the thought about their mothers, it's pretty book I liked it a lot (the reason is because I cried while reading it :D, I consider it good if I did cry)

The set of essays is an incredible group of stories and experiences by different people. It is so interesting to see how motherhood can mean so many different things to different people, even if the box of motherhood tells us all mothers should be the same. Some essays o loved more than others, but overall I really connected with all the stories.

Beautiful and also heart-breaking. Our relationships with our moms are always complicated for one reason or another, and these writers grapple thoroughly with many of those reasons.

I really liked this book, lots to unpack and a great book for a book club. Obviously you might not like every single essay but i liked that there were lots of different stories and perspectives.
