3.0

This series continues to follow the over-the-top cases of Ravi and the Golden Sentinels agency, and #3 is in line with the first two volumes. It's entertaining for all the big, mad ideas it pumps out, but since so many sections consist of other characters telling Ravi about things that happened to them, it suffers on the actually scene-setting and character-building side. Still, a fun romp through more ridiculous cases, including ones that involve magic mushrooms, foiled military coups, and revolutionaries-turned-children's entertainers.

Third in the series. I felt this was possibly the weakest installment and could have used more development editing--a lot of people telling each other what's happened which slows it down, and a certain amount of repetition. Shame because the central character and the main cast remain very enjoyable, as does the concept, and there's all kinds of bonkers goings-on, so it just needed someone to take control of the narrative drive a bit more.
