What a read! The first time hearing about Damien Boyd and honestly, I'm impressed. So glad this is part of a series. Fast paced. Easy to read. Simple to follow. An ending I didn't see coming. I literally went into my local library and bought this book for 10p. Yes. Really. That's all. What a complete steal! Can't wait to get to the next one.

This book is too short to delve into characters or a detailed plot so it all seems very rushed and surface level. If you are after a quick, mindless read it is fine, but not a very involved or thrilling thriller in my opinion. It also includes a very random side story about a different case the main character is working on, which seems very unnecessary and just wastes space that could have been used on the real story.

This was the audible version of the book. I think the narrator did a good job, even with the female characters. I will listen to the next in the series

This book had THE best plot twist I've read. The writing was well done and perfectly planned and the characters and story line were obviously well thought out! Credit to the writer ♡

A quick read, really enjoyed the fact that it's set locally and so I recognised all the locations!
