omg it is finally over. probably my second least-favourite (after assassins blade). i just can’t stand chaol im sorry.
nesryn and sartaq on the other hand, chefs kiss. if it wasn’t for them i probably would have not finished this book.
i like yrene as well, she’s alright. it was a nice surprise to see her again.
but chaol, oh my god i can’t

Every time i finish a book in this series I am wowed. Wowed by the story, the emotions, and by how intricately laid the plan for this story is. It is so interwoven and methodical.
It took me a while to get through this one, and going from Empire of Storms with like 7 POVs to Tower of Dawn with 3 was a big change. But I ended up really enjoying this. & Leave it to SJM to make the list 100 pages of her books always absolutely bananas.

i had low expectations for this book since i was so disinterested in chaol and nesryn’s side mission however, i was pleasantly surprised! it is a bit annoying that every character gets a “love of their life” whenever they need to heal as if they can’t do it on their own, but it’s what sjm does. i like the way the plot is going and i’m excited for this final war!!

This was so good. I was expecting to love it and it exceeded my expectations. The world building was so rich and I fell in love with just about every character. The only reason that this was not a 5 star read, is that the plot suffered from some pacing issues about halfway through. Overall, this was a great read and an absolutely necessary installment to the series.
