A Christian reverse Cinderella retelling, where he's a poor man who's had to work for his cruel stepfather and she's the daughter of the Duke.
I loved this story, even though it was bittersweet-being the last of the Hagenheim series. My biggest problem was that the villain told an abusive man where his family was hiding and aided him in reclaiming his wife and daughters -which is a very villainous thing to do, so it fits with his character.
