Lost interest in this one pretty quickly. I am not usually a fan of second chance romance stories, and the secret marriage thing also felt kind of silly. I was willing to give Gates the benefit of the doubt, but his reasons for leaving Tallahassee and skipping town were weak at best. His thoughts and actions still felt childish even years later. He is really lucky Tallahassee, who otherwise seems like a pretty intelligent dude, was pining for him this whole time and didn't find someone else with their shit together while he was away. Overall, not the best effort by this author. I am hoping for a more solid entry for the next installment.

How much groveling a guy has to do before he is understood
Contains: brother's best friend, married in vegas 9 years ago, secret relationship, fixing their life, second chance.
LOVE IT!!!! Oh yeah, I love this book. It got a lot of plot I like: brother's friend, a lot of groveling for his past and prove he has change and he is determine to stay. I dont normally like second chance because sometime it sound pathetic but this book is all but that. My english is leaving me, I dont know how to explain to you that this book is worth it, even the brother reaction was well writing. And I'm so happy for the hea. Cant wait for the next one. Its intriguing....

I couldn't get past Gates immaturity. I get why he acts the way he does but it just was too much

If you have followed my page for awhile you know that KM Neuhold is one if my go to authors. I LOVE her sweet and swoon MM romances and this one ticked all the boxes for me. I usually don't care for 2nd chance romances but I adored this one. Best friends brother/brothers best friend, secret romance/marriage, I loved them!!! I cannot wait to see who gets the next book in the Big Bull Mechanics series!

My favourite tropes - best friend's brother and secret relationship. Perfect
Plus some ADHD rep and self esteem/recovery from surgery hurdles. Excellent

Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I was so looking forward to it but I don't think I enjoyed the characters as much as I did in book 1.

The Big Bull Mechanics have my heart and Tallahassee was no exception!
Tallahassee has been keeping a secret from his best friend and boss, Steele, for years - he’s married to his younger brother Gates. For years Tal has wondered if Gates would come back and why he never signed the divorce papers. With Gates back and living in his home, Tal feels unbalanced - he wants things to work between them but is afraid to be too invested because Gates may leave and break his heart again. He’s even willing to put up with Gates’s pranks and the new, colorful vocabulary he taught his parrot Nigel just to keep him around.
Gates has made it a habit to never stay in one place for long. He’s always in a new city, doing a new job, learning a new skill or dating someone new. But he’s determined to make things work with Tallahassee now that he decided he’s back for good but can’t help planking his roommate/husband when the opportunity arises. Gates is such a unique character and I loved that his ADD was accurately portrayed and was so integral to who he was. Even though it presented challenges, he figured out a way to make it work, much the same as he approached mending things with Tal.
These two have some major baggage to deal with before they can even consider being together. Thanks to some pranks and some good old fashioned forced proximity, they have a lot of time together to figure it out. Once Tal and Gates start to open up, they see how much they’ve changed over the years and how much they still want to be together despite Steele’s insistence they keep their distance, Gates’s hang ups about his physical appearance and Tal’s fear of Gates leaving again. They balance each other out well and are so supportive. Even though things are tough between them at times they still fight to make things work and create a life together that they love.
I really wish that the truth had come out to Steele earlier in the story. Most of the angst in this book centered around that and I feel like it deserved more time than it got. But I was glad all of them could put it behind them to build a new type of relationship in the end.
Can’t wait to see which mechanic will fall in love next!
