Beautifully written and wonderful to listen to. Funny, poignant, inspirational, and educational. Her conversations with Bill would make a fabulous two-character play.

This was completely different than anything I've read before; part memoir of an ordinary life and part plant science. For me, the memoir was just ok. The plant science and detailed information about trees was far more interesting to me than I expected.

Did not finish. Couldn’t get into it, but it might have been the narration of the audiobook.

Part truth, beauty and knowledge and part "what the F?" this book looks into what it is to be a brilliant (manic depressive) female scientist in 21st Century America (and I suspect elsewhere) when your science is "speculative" rather than for bio-tech or warfare.
Well worth reading / listening to.
