Holy deliciousness Batman

One of my favorite discoveries of late 2017 and all of 2018 was this author. There is just something about how she creates a story. Every book is a standalone and gets better and better the more this series goes on. It never gets stale and it never becomes cookie cutter. Her characters are all so very different and yet the friendships they all have work so well with each other. This book dealt with a pretty awful subject matter as the backdrop of one of the characters. My heart hurt knowing that even though this was fiction that it isn't something out of the norm. The author covered it with grace and for that I am thankful.

I loved Anne and Smitty something fierce. They show that love knows no limits and that it truly doesn't matter about color or religion even in rural Idaho/Montana. I loved that this author made Smitty both dominate and nurturing. He really was a big teddy bear. Anne, was perfect for him as he was for her. God knows she needed someone like Smitty in her life. There steam. Sweet lord. Their steam was fire. This author can sure write it without it coming across as cheesy. The story is always first and foremost in the book.

I FLOVED seeing the old characters (especially Wes because his "Wessonism's" always are guaranteed to make me laugh. My interest is piqued with the next book. I cannot wait to see where the next story goes. Regardless, I know it will be fresh and exciting.

I received an ARC and I'm freely reviewing.

The love I have for this book is off the charts! I loved Rich "Smitty" and his alpha, gentlemen ways to show his devotion to Anne. This book is part of a series but a standalone. You meet other characters in past books and just reaffirms their awesomeness. If you're a first time reading of this series, then you'll run out and get them.

Anne is running from a bad past and finds this town. She's done her best to avoid getting attached. Rich does his best to break down those walls of Anne's and one by one this bricks come down. This story is funny, insanely hot and just simply wonderful!

So happy to be back in Bounty County

Smitty is a total alpha hero, with a sweet and protective side. Anne is a fierce and bold heroine running from her past. This book has everything - hope, love, friendship, sexy times, mystery and a little suspense. I really enjoyed visiting with characters from books past as well.

Detour by Maren Lee was a wonderful addition to the already awesome Bounty County series!

*I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review*

Lovedddd this Bounty County book. Anne's story was good! And i loved how she fought and never gave up in the end. Smitty... lorddd I've love that guy since the first time he was brought up in this series. This book was so good. It was sexy and sweet with a touch of danger. There was SO MANY HAPPY moments in this book with the rest of the gang. I can't wait for more!!

I have been waiting for this one. Patiently waiting. Let me tell you it was so worth the wait. I absolutely love this series. I have to say this is the best one . Anna has finally had enough of the life she is not living. She runs. She runs right into the same town where Officer Rick is. 5 years after first meeting her finally talks her into a date. Will these two make it into a happy relationship or will the past she ran from take her from Rick? Intense gripping romantic funny at times. I absolutely loved this one. Karen had me on the edge of my seat with this one. She does such an amazing job writing these books. I can't wait to see what happens with Tanner and Charlie.Highly recommend reading this one . This whole series.

Detour is probably Maren Lee’s most emotional book so far. That being said it still has that comfortable small town vibe, hot and steamy romance, and perfect amount of humor that her other books all have had. Smitty and Anne are the perfect pair for each other. He is this huge dominating force, but he’s also this sweet and gentle protector. After the past she has had it’s exactly what she needs. Since coming to Imminence Anne has found that she has her own strength, and that she can stand on her own two feet, but for some reason Smitty makes her will to stay low and unnoticed a little weak.

Detour was such a good read. We get a bit of an “I’m failing at resisting you” romance between Smitty and Anne, and updates on some of the past books characters, and as always lovable Wesson is there to support his best buddy Smitty throughout the story. Yes it is emotional and at times I did tear up, but it still made me smile and laugh and in my opinion that’s the sign of a well rounded story.

There may be some triggers in this one, but the author does include a pretty detailed warning in the beginning of the book, so I would check that out prior to diving in if you have any doubts!
