fantastic for October, felt like watching some psychedelic slasher horror movie. definitely fell off in the second half a bit, but the art really makes up for it.

Fast paced, a little too raunchy at times but doesn't have page numbers for a reason. Makes you want to finish the book in one sitting.

It just wasn't really for me. The story was interesting, and felt very original. However, I had this vague sense of nausea while reading the story, which may actually be a recommendation to some. But to me the story felt disjointed and tried to be gross or shocking merely for the purpose of being gross or shocking.

I needed just something a little bit more from the ending as well. I get it- philosophical/existential/chaotic whirls and weird shit ala Alan Moore, but... yeah, its just not for me anymore.

after conferring with the only other person I know who’s read this, we’ve decided we don’t know what was going on here. nevertheless, I really liked it. burns’s art was gorgeous and captures how awful it is to be a teenager
