I liked this book a little bit less than the first one because of the sports angle - I am not a sports fan. Then I liked it more because of the cat. The cat was hilarious. This was also the book where I started thinking about Chris's gender, and how listening to a female narrator made me read Chris as female and how that makes me more likely to like a book because I mostly read books with female main characters. If Chris is female, her family is incredibly understanding of her putting herself in danger. Which makes me think about how men and women are treated differently, and so on...

There were four years between the publication of the first books. We're due for a third. Can we have a third, please?

A bit confusing in the beginning, but enjoyable to read. I was engaged until the very end.

I am not a huge mystery fan and I didn't love the sports angle of this book. However, the story carried me along and made me think about some things.
