Read volumes 1-11 in two days. Despite being an absolute copy of about 25 similar comedy-horror shōnen, it brings something fresh to the table that I've yet to identify.

This came HIGHLY recommended. I liked it but it is super weird. I don't find the protagonist likeable, but I'm not sure I'm supposed to. I think I'm supposed to feel sorry for him and laugh at him.
The sketches and artwork on here were incredible and I hope they don't deeper on characters as it keeps going.

Weird but maybe good? I like the basic premise and the art is good, but I found the writing style (or possibly translation) to be a bit abrupt and stilted. I think this is a side effect of Denji's characterization/ the wild world building and will hopefully settle a bit in further books. Minor grumping aside I am very interesting in where the story is going & seeing more of the world. I generally have a fondness for weird monster stuff and Fujimoto takes it that perfect extra step by adding in random spots of adorableness (Pochita, ultra toast, Meowey)
In all, an interesting start to a story with tons of potential with a surprising mix of cute and gross art!

You're the chainsaw-man now, dog!
This statement couldn't be more on-point.
Book Summary
First off, a man finds a chainsaw dog. He saves it, and it repays him by becoming his heart, allowing him to convert into a chainsaw himself at the pull of an ignition string out of his chest.
What I Liked
This was a blast. It was fun and funny.
I thought it was a bit like [b:Death Note, Vol. 1: Boredom|13615|Death Note, Vol. 1 Boredom (Death Note, #1)|Tsugumi Ohba|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1419952134l/13615._SY75_.jpg|1782155], simply because of the demons and the different creatures. Not at all because of the story.
The story reminds me of Doom's Doomguy. We go from scenario-to-scenerio where he hunts down demons and iveserates them with his chainsaws. Its wicked fun!
Final Thoughts
Would highly recommend if you like silly manga, mediocre illustrations, and mindless plot.
