Continues the Golden Age arc.
One of my favourite Berserk sections so far. We see some cool action (and epic skills) from Casca in the Battle of Dodrey. The 'wide-angle' scenes of the siege are incredibly drawn.
We also see Guts take a big step forward in character development by leaving Griffith (the re-match duel between them is a fantastic moment both of action and of character-based storytelling).
We also get the 'Wounds' chapters, where the exploration of trauma and love between Casca and Guts is... some of the most touching and human scenes in such a brutal and bloody manga. Guts reaction to intimacy feels very real, and knowing that tragedy is coming (it's Berserk after all) makes these moments of happiness and future potential all the more heartwrenching.Â
