Two rabbits fall in love, marry and want a family. But they can't. And they try everything, as show below, go to the deepest depths, the highest heights.

And in the end, they have their baby.

The thing is, this might be a good present for a child, to show how much their parents loved them, and what they went through, or perhaps a gift for a couple who finally are able to conceive.

But for everyone else, this is just not quite it. If you haven't struggled with getting pregnant, I don't think you will understand this book. And children might not get that this is supposed to be a reassuring book.

Merle and Pearle the rabbit couple want a baby very, very badly, but are having trouble making one on their own. It's somewhat unclear whether they are finally able to conceive or if they adopt a baby rabbit, but they embark on quite a journey to finally get a tiny bunny of their own. The illustrations are lovely, even if the plot is a little confusing - and an adopted kiddo probably wouldn't notice, since the book's message is primarily about how happy Merle and Pearle are to have finally expanded their little family.
