I don't think this is the end of the series but it seems like an end to America's story. And honestly the entire book was messy and everything was wrapped up too nicely for it to even make sense.

America's feelings are still kinda all over the place? She hasn't told Maxon about Aspen and not only that they keep arguing for no goddamn reason.

The most random thing in the book to me was her father dying and her reaction to it. There was like a chapter spent on it and then she went back to the palace and continued on like normal. And then Maxon's parents die at the end and he seems to barely have a reaction to it??? Like I understand shock but it was like a brief subject spoken about before they went on about their day.

The series is simple and entertaining to read, but the action scenes are horrible. The rebels are not terrifying in anyway. The actions scenes are brief with more description about hiding and waiting it out. Celeste's death by the rebels to me was random as hell and she was just briefly mentioned at the end when America is walking down the aisle.

This felt like more of book 2, honestly disappointing considering the first one was great. But I feel like the plot really never moved with America. The world the author created could've been more built upon other than do I or do I not have real feelings for Maxon?

I got a happy ending, the ending I wanted. Sad things happened, but truly all I wanted was for Maxon to be happy.

Good end to the trilogy. Sappy romance at its heart.
