This collection of short essays is full of insight concerning diverse cultures and their interactions with nature. It was nice to read nature writing which was not from the point of view of a privileged white male.

Very informative read about the relationship between culture and the environment! There is a lot of variety in each essay and there’s definitely something in here for everyone. The stories told in this collection are very important, but I found many were filled with jargon and a bit difficult to process.

This is a book I plan on returning to but I just don’t have the time to dedicate to it right now
