emotional funny hopeful informative lighthearted medium-paced
So, I had read this about two months ago, so this isn’t going to be a good review (really just a brief sentence). I think I has in my reading slump mood and trying to just finish it so that probably affected my experience. I liked parts of it but other parts I didn’t feel interested or really connected to.

I liked the narration as it had quite a light-hearted approach, it made it feel fun and like chatting to a friend in some way. I also enjoyed how it had lots of dating and talking about dating as it gave those fun romcom vibes.  Plus, it was really good how it covered important factors as Sofia is Muslim and it talked about how society reacts to that so it can be emotional but always a needed discussion.

I think my enjoyed was affected because I didn’t really get invested in secondary characters or the love interests, and like I said I think my focus wasn’t really in, so I won’t be rating it. I just didn’t sink into the story and connect to the characters. Also looking back I'm really struggling to remember it so I don't think it will have a lasting impression on me to be honest. Plus, it is a predictable romcom story which isn’t a criticism because if it was a film, I would love that but in books I seem to struggle more with it so maybe in a different format I would click with this story more.
