This is book that spans the width of despair to hope and the journey that the MCs take to eke out love and joy from a place of immense paucity.
It is a love story between Scout and Roman but it’s also a story of the found family of Beck and Dallas with them. While things are spiralling downwards for Roman and he has to face abuse and dreadful circumstances , at first Scout who wants a better life for himself and his found family, sees in him a way out by working in BDSM porn which soon becomes so much more and their connection starts building eventually leading them to fight and vie to build their happily ever after. Because of the traumatic conditions and the intense attraction and non verbal connection the MCs have, it makes for a very emotional read.

The authors description of poverty, abuse, and hopelessness is heartbreaking. I love a good story about misery so this was a win for me. Can't wait for more in this series.

I really enjoyed this story but it was really heartbreaking and a lot at points. My heart felt for these lost boys. Some of the BDSM stuff was a lot for me personally, but I still really enjoyed the story overall.
