It was OK, probably something I would have enjoyed in my mid to late teens. I started reading because the FMC is a tortured captive who found the strength to try and break out (liking the darker aspect but thats where it fizzles out for me). I start thinking oooo she has a backbone. Then everything became slow paced and flat after that. Things do happen but there's a lot of reading about them cooking/eating/looking out the window etc and waiting for something to happen, something happens that does not come as a surprise. Its very predictable and flat. Despite being in the fae relm the FMC doesnt really attempt to learn about it, she doesnt even go outside , if i'd been caged for any length of time i would be constantly outside, even if i had to be in some sort of disguise, someone mentioned a sort of cloaking spell near the end so its not like it wasnt feasible. This would have been a great opportunity for some world building, FMC learning about the relm while we learned too.It doesn't help that I'm not drawn to any of the characters, not a single one they were all a little 'meh'. I will start the next book just to see if it gets any better but this book is a little too teen with a sprinkle of 'fooling around' for me i know shes a virgin and has been locked up for a long time and i was hoping for some smex scenes closer to the end of this book and not having to wait till possibly the next book or the book after. I need something to keep my interest, i will be very disappointed if the next book is as clean as this one. TBF if the author removed the small portions of 'fooling around' it would probably be a reasonable YA read. But im getting a little old for that.

It was entertaining quick read and an interesting concept. But lacking in many areas and didn’t stand out to me. Also I HATE that the three men love interests were jealous the whole time and if I think they were brothers?? WHHHYY 6/10

Well written so nice to read, but not much storyline and a captive falling for her captors always irks me. Still enjoyed the read though
