Just a very cute book about J.R.R. Tolkien, both in writing and illustration. As a huge Tolkien fan, I think it’s just a very cute addition to my collection and am very happy it’s now in my life (what can I say? Everyone needs a good picture book now and again)

The illustrations had my heart at every page.

The Hobbit is one of my all time favorite books and this book was a easy to get the early history of how the book came to be.

Awesome biography for all ages.

This is so beautiful. I love the art, I love the hidden historical references in the pages, I love the endnotes, and I love the words. Tolkien will never not be an important person in my life, and this book needs to grace my shelves asap.
