Great story! Lev and Imogen are strong characters who meet at a conference and develop an instant connection. Watching where that connection leads is a lot of fun! The setting is fabulous and impacts the story in interesting ways - a great read!

It is no secret that among the sea of Romance, I very much love to read Medical Romances. I not only get the romance that I am looking for but also some medical knowledge which I am a sucker for.
I don't actively recall any story set in small town Canada ever and that was a new thing for me here. Let me tell you that Amy Ruttan brought it fully to life for me and I so want to now experience so many things mentioned in the story.
Now many may not call the first meeting between Lev and Imogen a meet cute but it was totally that for me and I was hooked from that first scene. Lev and Imogen, too, seemed to be hooked on to each other from the start and that was great.
Unlike many stories where the story starts with the pregnancy already in place, I loved how Amy gave us a little something. The meeting that changed the lives of these two. For me, that brings you extra points.
Another trope, in addition to the unexpected baby, was a relation of convenience turning to a forever love. One of my favourite tropes in Romance. The struggle to not let the emotions over power you and to always maintain a respectable distance when the heart desires something else entirely brought me so many smiles and I am grateful to Amy for that.
Imogen's character was very endearing to me for her resilience to achieve what she her mind to, her stubbornness where she believed she should never bend, her fears that kept her locked in an alone place in her mind and her hope that things may not always be as they were.
Lev on the other hand was not one of those alpha heroes hell bent on having everyone obey them or look up to them. That was like a breath of fresh air really. He turned to Imogen because he believed in her and her capability to manage better than him. He, too, had fears that grounded him and made him a better human.
Two of the things that I want to experience after this book;
1. Living in a houseboat
2. Aurora Borealis
Loved reading this book and I give it a 4.25 out of 5. Recommended for everyone into Romance.
