I freaking love this series. Milo and Charlee are honestly my favorite right now. Milo is literally a golden retriever but he loves Charlee so much and you just feel it off the pages. I loved that Charlee was vulnerable but also strong willed from the start, because I think authors sometime forget that even if you are a victim of domestic violence that doesn’t make you weak. Leaving makes you strong, and for most that’s the first time they feel strong. Also the bro moments between the boys was so funny!
