Highly recommend to highlight or underline things throughout first read because you WILL want to reread as soon as you finish this.
Really easy to read with a lot to unpack, loved the book and the author.

An incredible recounting of the firebombing of Dresden and an emotional retelling of how people change after intense trauma that left me giggling at parts and soberly understanding exactly what Billy Pilgrim was experiencing at others. Vonnegut pulls no punches when describing the atrocities of war and spares no detail in depicting exactly how it has fractured the mind of his protagonist, and the effects that fracturing has.
Graphic: Death, Mental illness, Violence, and War
Moderate: Gore, Excrement, and Schizophrenia/Psychosis
Minor: Antisemitism

I liked the writing style and the bulk of the story. Was fucked up and a bit comedic.
The way women were written in this was kinda bad.
My favourite part is still the opening chapter though.
When you show up to a hater competition and Roland Weary is there: ππππ
