Love this series SO much! Every book can be read as a stand-alone but I'm glad I've read them all and got the "build up" to each bachelor. Karla's writing is smart, sweet, and laugh out loud funny. She gets better with every book, and I am HOOKED on Bachelors of the Ridge!

New LOML added to the roster because Cole???? That's a man right there. Pining for a woman for 6 years and never letting go of the hope that she'll come back to you? Buying a house and decorating it exactly like she wanted to, using details that she only told you about ONCE???? Oh, I folded so fast. The love he had for Julia was so deep and heart-wrenching honestly. What made me a bit reserved about this couple was Julia. I could help but feel like she was hurting Cole so badly by withholding herself from him. I kinda feel like if anyone should have been guarded, it should have been him. And of course, I understand that them rebuilding their relationship wouldn't happen overnight, I mean being divorced is a tricky state to maneuver. But I just wanted her to be honest with him sooner because it was so clear that he loves her so much. I love the ending though,
Spoiler when she moved in to show him that she wouldn't run away this time, that they'd push through it together.
Spoiler It's clear that they're supposed to be together and I'm glad they got their HEA after all.

Another Hit

Karla Sorensen has become one of my favorite storytellers. Her characters are so layered and have a depth of emotion not found with all writers. Cole and Julia’s story was a wonderful addition to the previous Ridge Bachelors. I look forward to reading about Michael and Tristan.

Sadly I didn't like this book quite as much as the first two in the series. While I adored Cole, I found myself frustrated with Julia for a majority of the book. I found her apology to Cole for her actions in the past to be a little lacking; by the time she owned up to why she acted like she did it just felt too surface level and glossed over. And Cole deserved better in my opinion. I did really like the relationship she had with her sister so at least that was something.

I'm very excited about the couples for these last two books *fingers crossed*

Cole was my introduction to Karla Sorensen and the Bachelors of the Ridge. I'll definitely be reading more. I loved the story of Julia finding herself and her way back to the man who always loved her!

This is a good book.
I liked that although the husband and wife are divorced and been separated for many years, he still loves her and as a result he hasn't been with anyone else.
In many books now it seems the hero can't have the heroine or get over her but he still manages to sleep with half the country. Cole doesn't expect them to get back together and he is not lacking in offers and he even wishes he was able to 'move on', he is available and the he isn't expecting any sort of reconciliation but he just doesn't feel anything for anyone else. That's refreshing.
I did find it quite an emotional story. The reason for the split are bound to make anyone feel for them and for this reason I may not reread as I made me a bit depressed. At the same time sometimes you feel in the mood for this type of angst.
A good read, well written.

First you had Dylan, then a Garrett, and now Cole. What a group of men!!

I knew that I would fall in love with Cole from what I had read about him in the first two books.

You have Cole. He is still heartbroken from where Julia left him seven years earlier without an explanation. She was the love of his life and still is. He never moved on from her and now that she's back in town he doesn't know how to handle it.

You have Julia. She came back to town to help her pregnant sister and realizes that it some point she's going to face her past. She left Cole without an explanation and doesn't know how to handle her feelings when she sees him for the first time.

Cole and Julia's story touched my heart. In the beginning I was so mad at Julia for leaving Cole. I was wondering how she could leave such a great man behind with no explanation. But then the story deepen and I started to understand better why she did what she did. I was still mad at her but after hearing her explanation it made more sense to me.

Cole and Julia get a second chance at love, but can they get over the heartbreak and mistrust from their past? Can he forgive her for leaving him all those years ago, and can she forgive herself?

I absolutely loved the story. I had a feeling Cole would be one of my favorite stories from this group of men, and I was right. Without giving too much away this book talks about an issue in relationships that many people face, but thats never talked about publicly.

Karla outdid my expectations with this book. I cannot wait for Michael's and for Tristan's book!!!!!

Standalone book, but is the 3rd book of Bachelors of the Ridge (You can read it by itself, but will understand the characters more if you read the first two books.
Triggers: infertility

I can say, I loved it all. I decided to add a triggers section to my reviews because not everyone can deal with reading everything.

Sorry this took so long, I don't like to feel like I missed out on anything, so I read the two previous books before reading this one. And what a funny and sweet series this is turning out to be.

So...Cole. Cole is a big, tall, ball of brooding man who has been caught up on his ex-wife for way too long. What the heck Cole, move on! I kept thinking this even while reading Garrett and Dylan, but I knew I would get backstory. But I still had the same thoughts. It truly was a beautifully written love story. I do think it was a bit rushed, but my rating won't be faulted in this. Cole's ex-wife, Julia...I just wanted to murder her. How could you leave someone who loved you so very much. Even with all your faults, how could you just pick up and leave without the decency to explain why?

Sorensen's style of writing is witty, will leave you with a pile of emotions and make you think. I can't wait for what she has up her sleeves with the other Bachelors.
