The protagonist is an unlikeable character, who lacks emotion and comes across as bored with life. The flow of the book was very stop and go, where at times there was excessive detail on matters that didn't move the story along and other times there were no details offered at all, leaving the reader wanting more. Overall, this was a very bland book and I found it very difficult to get through.
