I couldn't put it down! I'll sadly have the whole series finished by the end of the week.

4⭐️ I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into besides a reflected mates situation, but this was much more than that! Reverse harem vibes was a surprise and I’m intrigued enough to read the next book, even though I didn’t appreciate some of the bullying, juvenile behavior- ugh so ick, and the Kingston story line needs to be given a break. Sunday has really done some damage and needs to own up. It’s not always the men.
23 years old Sunday is new to a super natural university and in need of a fresh start after being ostracized due to her rejecting her mate. We have a possible reverse harem at play, cryptic warnings and religious taboos.
I think this book series will be like the series Broken Bonds where each male gets a book. This one seemed to be Noah’s.
Noah Blackthorne (vampire prince)
Kingston (wolf shifter)
Caleb (vampire-ex priest, professor)
Alek (Norse god)

**Warning: blood drinking, self flagellation, religious taboo**

I liked this book but I already knew going into it I probably wasn't going to make it through the whole series. I enjoyed the main character and the school setting. Unfortunately, academics fall to the wayside once the storyline picks up which is a shame. Some of her mates are more likeable than others. All this to say, its a very fun quick read!

I am not going to say I didn't enjoy this but it did feel like a budget Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac. A group of hotties banding together to form a harem for the FMC - but without the slow burn tension and incredible character arcs. The thing this one has going for it though is a vampire priest that's into voyeurism and spanking so......I'm sure I will continue the series anyways.

Tropes: reverse harem, touch her and die, academia, shifters, vampires, age gap, religious guilt vibes, voyeurism, multiple pov, virgin fmc, stalker, fated mates, why choose
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Reread on 9/2/2024:
⭐⭐⭐⭐

I actually enjoyed this more the 2nd time around. The audiobook is fantastic with a whole cast and I really loved the narrator for Caleb. I decided to raise my rating to 4 stars. I already bought the 2nd audiobook.

I was not sure how to rate this book. The story was pretty disjointed and all over the place. There wasn't really any world building either. I had no clear understanding of this world, and a lot of it didn't make sense. My other issue was that the heroine was supposed to be in her early twenties, but she came across as a high school student. She was very immature and bratty. This book felt more YA, except the smutty sex scenes.

I get this is a series, but I didn't really feel her connection to the men. I felt there should have been more character development, and instead, it was just insta lust.

I will say that I listened to this on audiobook, and it has a whole cast of narrators that did an amazing job. The audiobook was amazing. I may try to read the rest of the series, though.

An irritating character —very immature for the age she was supposed to be in this book. For me the book was cringy.
