Why did I read this? I was looking for a fluffy, contemporary palette cleanser and this seemed like it might be fun. But it wasn't so much. It was more annoying than fun. The 10 year old is the character with the most emotional maturity in this book. (Her mother is also awesome. I would read a book with her as the heroine.) The back and forth of the two main characters (particularly the hero) gave me whiplash. They change their minds to extremes often and their actions don't ever match with what they say they are thinking. Here is the thing that REALLY annoyed me though: the name labeling every time the perspective switched. WHY?????? This is written in third person limited. I would say the majority of romances are written in this point of view. I can name countless titles of third person limited point of veiw romance novels that switch back and forth between the perspectives of hero and heroine. I've never had trouble figuring out which was which. Why did Virginia Nelson think I needed help with this? The inserted names were just distracting. And made me angrier as I read because exactly how stupid do you think your audience is?

The Irish Prince is a delightful romcom that I will read and laugh through again and again. CEO Aiden Kelley is a gorgeous Irish-American with a temper and control issues. The one constant in his world is his executive assistant Chelsea Houston. She is the only one brave enough to call him on his crap and she makes his world run smoother. But she has had it and is threatening once again to quit. The only thing that keeps her from walking out the door is his pleading with her to help him get to know the daughter he never knew he had.
These two are perfect for each other and watching them become a family is a total hoot.

This was a cute, fairly short read. So 3.5 stars.
I think in order for this book to have been amazing, it needed more detail and relationship building. Everything felt like it happened very quickly for Aiden and Chelsea. I also didn’t expect the depth of feeling towards the end of the book, since it seemed like they barely noticed each other in the beginning, but apparently they were like legit friends and had a fairly deep and meaningful friendship. It definitely did not come across that way to me in the beginning. It was more towards the end when they decided that they have been in love with each other since the first moment. I think I would have liked a little bit more of that in the beginning. Maybe that’s why it felt lacking, since they already had a relationship build before the book begun.
Waverly was also a cool kid. She seemed way to open to the idea of a long-lost dad, especially since she seemed to think he purposely abandoned her until this point (I’m not sure what her mother told her about Aiden being absent from her life, it wasn’t made clear, but it definitely didn’t sound like she’d been truthful).
This book has also made me wanna read the first book as well. And maybe the third one.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. I thought it had the perfect mix of sweet, emotional and feisty moments. Both characters were strong and at times stubborn. It was fun to watch Aiden's carefully controlled life change on a dime and then watch him as he fell in love both with his daughter and Chelsea. I enjoyed Waverly. She provided the story with some moments of wit, humor and typically ten year old thinking. While the premise of the story (billionaire dating his assistant) I thought this was a fun easy read and will consider this author's other books in the future.

I thought this was a cute romance. The characters were relatable and a fun plot. I'm a till curious why the mom Margo wanted the money at that point and how she managed to keep a daughter a secret from the world. The grand gesture Aiden did in the museum was a miss for me. It just didn't really fit with the characters in my opinion. It didn't seem like something Chelsea would be into and was a bit clunky. I've enjoyed the series so far.

I loved the story line of this book. However I wasn't as crazy at the writing style. I admit I found this book after playing chapters. I'll go back and read the other books in the series because I'm now curious about James Camden. I did like the character development in it wish it went just a little Deeper though.

CEO Aiden Kelley has become bored with his playboy life but he wouldn't admit that to anyone. However he did not plan that the announcement he is a dad to a ten year old girl will be what shakes things up. Aiden wants to get to know his daughter and when he is told to take her to the Grand Canyon he decides he needs his assistant Chelsea Houston in tow.
Chelsea has quit her job more times than she can count but each time Aiden talks her into returning. Now he wants her to help with his daughter Waverly, she knows nothing about kids but deciding this would be a paid vacation she goes. A trip that is planned goes slightly awry and unaddressed feelings come in to play and Aiden is faced with admitting what he really wants.
This was a entertaining read had several humorous moments. Great characters and I thought Waverly was a hoot. This is a book you pick up and enjoy in the warm weather.

A pleasant office romance and everything one expects from that. A grumpy, controlling boss and a PA who knows just how to handle him and stand up to him. A little bit of a love/hate tug between the two, with Chelsea trying numerous times to quit. Things change when she's given an out if she accompanies her boss on a road trip with his newly found out daughter. Taking them out of their usual environment casts them in a different light and things change one stormy night.
A quick and enjoyable read and I look forward to reading the next one in the series.

The Billionaire Prince von Virginia Nelson - mal was anderes
Ein Kind. Ein Ausflug zum Grand Canyon. Und eine Assistentin die kündigen möchte. So könnte man Aiden Kelleys, den milliardenschweren CEO den die Presse liebevoll ``The Billionare Prince´´ nennt, Leben in drei Sätzen beschreiben. Das Chaos ich vorprogrammiert obwohl Aiden nichts mehr als das hasst, die einzige Lösung scheint Chelsea zu sein, seine Assistent die kurz davor steht zu kündigen.
Ein aufregender Trip, mit viel Emotionen und Abenteurern beginnt der das Leben des neu gebacken Vaters auf den Kopf stellt.
Das Cover sieht toll aus, ansprechend, romantisch und nicht zu kindisch oder mädchenhaft. Es passt meiner Meinung nach auch super zum Buch.
Der Schreibstil war sehr offen und hat mich gleich ins Geschehen mit reingezogen und alle Emotionen wurden sehr gut beschrieben.Es wurde auch nicht nach einer Zeit langweilig oder sich langziehend.
Am Anfang war ich etwas skeptisch gegenüber der Perspektive, da ich lieber Bücher aus der 1. Sicht lese, konnte mich jedoch schnell mit ihr anfreunden. Das Buch ist aus der Sicht von Chelsea und Aiden geschrieben, was ich sehr gut finde da man sich so super in die beide Personen hineinversetzten kann.
Die ersten Szenen haben kurz und knapp von dem vorherigen Leben der Hauptcharaktere beschrieben und der Tick von Aiden, dass alles perfekt und ordnungsgemäß sein muss, wurde erwähnt. Zudem Tick muss ich noch sagen das er leider nicht im weiteren Geschehen näher beschrieben wurde oder auch warum Aiden ihn überhaupt hat. Das ist leider ein klitzekleiner Minuspunkt.
Als Aiden erfährt das er eine Tochter hat, welche schon vor 10 Jahren mit seiner damaligen Freundin entstanden ist, wirkt er für mich ziemlich subtil und nicht überrascht, so als hätte er das alles schon vorgeplant. Und Waverly, die Tochter, ist eine ziemlich erwachsene 10 Jährige, welche oft ihre Emotionen versteckt.Das hat sie aber vermutlich von ihrem Vater geerbt, welcher auch oft sehr unnahbare Momente hat. Die Bindung ist jedoch von Anfang an wunderschön und Aiden bemüht sich sehr stark ein guter Vater zu sein, was ihm auch super gelingt. Aiden an sich ist eine sehr tiefgründige Person, was auf den ersten Blick zwar nicht auffällt aber mit jedem Gedanken seinerseits immer klarer wird, er hat auch einen sehr ausgeprägten Beschützerinstinkt und es gibt den ein oder anderen Moment im Buch wo man sieht das er sich um das Wohlergehen seiner Liebsten sehr sorgt und für denjenigen auch sehr viel machen würde.
Das Kind hat, genauso wie sein Vater, eine wunderschöne Persönlichkeit, ist liebreizend und hat ziemlich ungewöhnliche Interessen, welche sie aber nur im sein bestärken.
Chelsea ist sehr schüchtern, aber nur für ihre Umwelt. Drinnen hat sie schon den einen oder anderen Gedanken, der belegt das sie gar nicht so schüchter ist wie es scheint. Sie kriegt auch immer das was sie möchte und zwar nicht weil sie es von jemand anderen bekommt sondern weil sie selber daran arbeitet und es auch selber erreicht. Noch dazu hat sie eine starke Persönlichkeit und lässt sich auch nicht alles von jedem gefallen. Am Anfang ist die Beziehung von Chelsea und Aiden zuiemlich angespannt, beide fühlen sich zudem anderen hingezogen, streiten es aber ab. Mit jedem Kapital kommen sich beide näher bis sie das Eis durchbrechen, ab dem Punkt sind beide füreinander da und durchleben den Trip zusammen.
Kurz gesagt sind alle Charaktere toll sowie tiefgründig und mir gefällt auch das Aiden durch den Tick gar nicht so perfekt ist wie er erscheint.
Die Hintergrundidee der Geschichte ist meiner Meinung auch ziemlich spannend, es hat einen Hauch von reicher Playboy und schüchterne Assistentin, jedoch mit einem neuen und spannend Anstrich durch die nicht bekannte Vaterschaft von Aiden.
Was mir nicht besonders gefallen hat waren manche Szenen die beim ersten durchlese verwirrend waren so dass man die einzelnen Sätze zwei- bis dreimal durchlesen musste um zu verstehen was gerade passiert ist.
Manchmal gingen Momente ziemlich schnell vorbei, bedeutet jemand hat gerade das gemacht und zwei Seiten später ging es um etwas ganz anderes.
Dafür war das Ende super! Es war romantisch, emotional, spannend und ein wunderschöner Abschluss des Buches, so dass ein Epilog gar nicht zwingend notwendig war aber alles nochmal versüßt hat!
Insgesamt war das Buch super, alles hatte ein ziemlich originellen Flair und die Charaktere waren sowieso super und der Schreibstil hat mir sehr gepasst. Die einzigen Minuspunkte waren wie gesagt die Szenen die schnell und unübersichtlich vorbeigingen und die Momente die nicht beim erste lesen verständlich waren. Die beiden Punkte ziehen leider eine Stern ab.
