This is my first Keyes book and was loaned by a friend that is a fan. I have to say that I enjoyed it overall. I felt it was slow in some places and more could have happened in that space but again it didn't make it difficult to read. Only after I began reading it did I see that this is a series of this family, one book for each sister of the Walsh family. I have read some of the reviews that said it doesn't matter if you read it out of order so that is a plus. I think I will check out more books by Keyes and probably start with reading the other books in this series.

I normally adore Marian Keyes's books, but this one was not for me..nothing happened and it did not hold my interest at all.

It was voluminious for nothing, the book was slow.I prefered the ending to the rest of the story. It was just an okay read, nothing too fantastic.

Why does finding yourself always have to start with seperation or divorce? I found it disappointing chick lit, but I LOVED the notion of her lovely lady things account, it made me smile each time it came up.

Didn't finish it, which I don't do with a book very often. What a slow read this was. Couldn't get through more than 120 pages...

This was an emotional rollercoaster ride back with the Walsh family, this time going on Maggie's startling journey. Marian Keyes manages to delve deeply into some pretty hard life events, but she finds the humour in it too which takes the edge off and you realise that it's possible to get through it. And her humour is right up my street! I think she creates a brilliant cast characters. I love Mammy Walsh. And thanks to Brendan O'Carroll doing Mrs Brown's Boys (TV show), that's how I now see her. Which makes it even funnier to me. This is my third read of this book and I still find it a very entertaining and enjoyable read.

This was actually a re-read. I think I first read it all the way back in 2005. Marian is the Queen of chick-lit and her Walsh sisters series of which Angels is one of, are some of my favourite books. After finding out her husband is cheating on her and getting fired from her job, Maggie (whom her sisters describe as plain yoghurt - plain, sensible, non-descript) decides to runaway to live with her script-writer best friend in LA. Like the majority of Keye's book, she writes the characters in Angels and the situations they find themselves in with humour, but there is a more serious side to the story too about how grief can tear a marriage apart and communication is key.

This book was basically just filler. like everything in it was irrelevant because it started with her breaking up with Gav because he had an affair and then in the end she just forgave him and they get back together. the middle was her just fancying people then finding out they didn't love her and just wanted a one-night stand so it feels like she just gave up looking for someone better and decided she was okay being with Gav just because he apologized... Honestly, this just made me like mammy Walsh more cause she said don't go back to him if he did that once he will do it again and Maggie was like try and stop me but honestly, she just seemed like such a pushover too me and the ending was so random and dumb.
