This book gives a nice review of many trans issues. I am trans and didn't learn anything new myself. But, I am on the road to get medical transition and was in a place where I needed to hear from a trans adult and this book was available at my library.

Also, the author's personal story of (cw: death of relative)
their brother's death really made me stop and think because I don't know where I would be without my siblings.

4.5, solid 101, definitely not written for me (but that’s okay!)

Wow. I never write a review before I finish a book, but I'm on chapter 2.

If you know a self-proclaimed "independent" it is your duty as a true friend (ie: they just might listen to you/if no one else then who) to shove this book into their hands. If they can stomach reading it, then you will know their true colors.

Um livro importantíssimo para todas as pessoas!! Nem todos os capítulos são super interessantes mas todos conseguem transmitir uma mensagem de alerta para as comunidades trans no mundo.

Excellent book that's part memoir and part primer. I've read most of the major texts that the author pulls from but still found it absolutely worthwhile.

I really liked this book for its honesty and its intelligence. The title says it all: it's a conversation that we can have to enable understanding.
