- Beautiful, I loved this so much
- This book is just the story of love and strength
- Cried a lot and couldn't stop thinking about it
- I need to read all of Diane Chamberlain's works
- I loved the 70s and 00s differences, it felt really well researched and well done
- Hunter was a great character I'd love a spin-off with him
- The time travel wasn't over-explained in a SciFi way which I thought was great because I think it would have taken away from the story otherwise

This book was incredible, tugged on the heartstrings. I could feel everything the main character was feeling.

The Dream Daughter was one of my most highly anticipated books of 2018 and it did not disappoint. I am a huge Diane Chamberlain fan and always look forward to her new releases. Although I would probably have not chosen a book about time travel otherwise, Chamberlain rarely lets me down. "Fantasy" kinds of books are not my thing but this was so much more than that. It was a true Diane Chamberlain book with family drama, amazing and relatable characters, all surrounding a story about moral issues. She was able to explore the mother-daughter bond, what makes a family and adoption issues in a new and amazing way.

It had me on the edge of my seat while also constantly making me think "what would I do in this situation?". You are able to see the story from multiple viewpoints because she does such a wonderful and in-depth presentation of the main characters. This was very different from a lot of her past books with the time traveling aspect but it stayed true to her roots with the general concept and flow of the book. It ended up being one of my favorites of hers and I have many! Thank you Net Galley and St. Martin’s Press for providing me with an ARC of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I won an autographed copy through a Goodreads contest. When I first starting reading and it talked about time travel, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue reading. I don't believe in time travel, but it seems to work for this book. The amount of research that went into the book must have been extensive. I loved reading about all the different decades and historical facts. Overall I enjoyed the book and sympathized with Carly multiple times. However, I felt the end was rushed and left several questions unanswered.

This is a very thought provoking book about a 1970s woman time traveling to the future (2001) to give her unborn daughter a chance to service with fetal heart surgery. There were many twists and turns to her and her daughter’s journeys that kept me on my toes with suspense. There were so many moments where you didn’t know if she nor her daughter would ever get a happily ever after back in the 1970s. There were so many bitter sweet moments that I loved about the story, and I was not expecting the ending at all. I was pleasantly surprised by it. I really enjoyed this and would absolutely recommend it to anyone that loves time travel stories that are full of suspense.
