meh, not his best work.
I liked the poems as usual but compared to the Whiskey, shovel, etc series this wasn't enough for me (?)

She felt like feeling nothing because nothing fills the void.

Some beautiful & poignant poems, but sadly some felt repetitive & lacklustre. I thought this book was written by a woman initially given the pseudonym, cover art & perspective in the poems, but nope...

I did find some of the poems enticing. Mostly the ones at the beginning. But the fact that I can compress everything in this book into two lines: Toxic relationships where you give and give and don't receive are not meant for you to hold on to. They will break your heart. And it pains me to watch you choose to stay in such relationships.
This is the exact reason why I'm wary of wanting to ever read another book by this author again. I did like the poems but this was like the first or second time I have ever read a book of poetry that has emotions and thoughts that can fit in a teaspoon.
That is the only direction the poems are aimed at and it's not fun to read once you realise that the next forty pages are going to be filled with different versions of the same thing being said that had already been said in the last hundred pages.

r.h. Sin is always a pleasure to read. I always enjoy their way with words when in any mood. Their words are sewn flawlessly together and bring me a sense of belonging and kinship with other readers. If you feel you are alone, r.h. Sin will make you feel as if you are not with this collection of poetry.

I was drawn to this book due to the cover, It was so creative and seemed to have more meaning that what was seen at first glance. I thought this would be carried over to the book. I love a book in verse and there was a few pages that will stick with me, however most of the book I was lost. I was unsure of the speaker in the book and I did not feel there was a good flow of the story. I just don't think that the book did the sensitive, important topic justice.

I feel like the message of this collection was more impactful than any of the poems themselves.
