Very good book, I loved the duel perspective so we can feel what both Amy and Elder are feeling wether it's frustration or confusion I just love it! I enjoyed the plot did not expect a lot of events but overall very pleased with how the it ended. Can't wait to continue the series and find out what happens next.

DNF Ch 6

Did not like the audio book, did not like how unsettled i got from the beginning thats to my very weird trigger thats hard to ask if its in the book, and then i was just confused. Maybe in print, I'm not sure. .

Let me start of by saying the first had of the book was boring. I mean extremly boring. It took me a a couple of days to get through it and I'm usually the type of person that finishes a book in a day. The characters were extremely bland and really the story was slow and didn't have much of substance.

BUT ...

From the middle of the book it progressively got better. I particularly enjoyed the last 50-70 pages and during those pages I couldn't put the book down. If I were to rate the book only on the second half, I would give it 4.5 stars.

I liked how the mystery unfolded. I liked both the main characters and I thought they acted (mostly) believably. And I love dystopian novels! (Though this might be one of the cheesiest covers ever.)

It started out slow at first. It wasn't slow to the point where I had to force myself to read, but the kind of slow that would let me put the book down and not have a large want to finish it as soon as possible. It started to pick up around the middle of the book. But it was a really good story and a lot of unexpected turns. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
